National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona -MNAT-

Created in the mid-nineteenth century as a provincial museum, it is the oldest of its kind in Catalonia. It is dedicated to the recovery, conservation, research and dissemination of heritage from the Roman Tarraco. In addition to archaeological pieces from the Roman era and the beginning of the Christianity, its rooms also house a Library. It is located in the Plaza del Rey, next to the Roman Praetorium.

Paleochristian Museum and Necropolis

Located in Avda. Ramón y Cajal nº 80, late Roman cemetery, 3rd to 5th centuries. It is one of the best preserved in the Roman Empire. It helps to know the way of life in Tarraco, 1,500 years ago

Diocesan Museum of Tarragona

Located in the Plaza del Palau, 2 (next to the Cathedral). Its rooms, around the Cloister of the Cathedral, house more than 11,000 religious works, documents, paintings, sculptures and other objects of religious Gothic silverware.

History Museum of Tarragona.

Located in the former Audiencia of Tarragona, in the current Plaça Pallol. In this Museum there is a model of the city of Tarraco.

Museum of Modern Art of the Diputación de Tarragona.

Located on Calle Santa Ana nº 8, it is dedicated to modern and contemporary art. Very close to the Archaeological Museum.

Biblical Museum of Tarragona

Carrer de les Coques nº 1-C, founded in 1930. Located next to the Cathedral, it contains an important collection of archaeological, literary, artistic and didactic materials of the Judeo-Christian culture.

Museum of the Port

Refugio 2, Moll Costa. Designed to preserve and disseminate the maritime and port heritage of the Tarraconense coast. Built in the mid-twentieth century, it conserves various boats and gear from the sea.
